B2B eBusiness UK-US Expert Mission Report

In 2000 Mark Taylor was a member of an expert team set up to study and report on Business to Business “b2b” eBusiness. Sent as part of that team to America by the UK’s Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), The Engineering Council, and the multinational law firm Hammond Suddards Edge. Which subsequently merged with Squire Patton Boggs to become one of the 10 biggest full-service multinational law firms in the world.

Mark co-wrote the last two chapters of the mission report into the book it became, which he also edited, and presented at various venues around the UK including at the CBI’s headquarters in London. To an audience of industry leaders from the UK and around the world.

Mark was able to discuss the problems and solutions presented by leading industrialists of GM’s World Headquarters in America and Hunting Ingles in London.

B2B eBusiness For Success can be downloaded here. It is still relevant to the technologies used for supply chain management and procurement. Indeed, systems for enabling supply chain transparency can help enormously in armed conflict. Such supply line transparency from both ends as is now possible may greatly help both in meeting the needs of Ukraine’s armed forces in a timely manner, and in leaving an audit trail for sticklers who have a need to see those details.
